Privacy Policy

How SaaS.Vote collects and uses account information, review content and verification data, and how to contact us about your privacy.

Last updated: November 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how SaaS.Vote (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and handles your information when you use our website and services (https://saas.vote).

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information necessary to operate, improve, and personalize the Service. The types of information we collect include, but are not limited to, the following:

1.1 Information You Provide

  • LinkedIn Profile Data — When you authenticate via LinkedIn, we receive your public profile information (name, profile URL, profile picture). We use this solely to verify your identity and display it alongside your reviews.
  • Review Content — Text, ratings, and any additional information you submit as part of a review.
  • Product Information — If you add or claim a SaaS product, we collect the product name, URL, description, category, and contact emails you provide.
  • Feedback Board Suggestions — When you send a suggestion to a product’s feedback board, we collect its text and either your account (if you are signed in) or the email address you leave. You can also choose to receive email updates about it.
  • Featured Placement Requests — If you apply for a Featured placement (or join its waitlist), we collect the product website, contact email, and message you send, together with your account name and email.
  • Purchases — When you buy invitation credits or a Featured placement for a product, payment is handled by Stripe, our payment processor. You enter your card or other payment details, billing email, company name, billing address and, where applicable, tax ID directly with Stripe; we never receive or store full card details. We keep a record of each order (product, item, amounts, taxes, status, refunds, Stripe reference numbers and which account started it) and the history of the product’s invitation credits.
  • Email Address — Used for account-related communications, service updates, marketing, and promotional messages. You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

  • Log Data — Standard server logs including IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used for security, debugging, analytics, and service improvement purposes.
  • Cookies & Tracking Technologies — We use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies for authentication, session management, analytics, personalization, and advertising purposes. This may include both first-party and third-party cookies. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings, but disabling certain cookies may affect Service functionality.
  • Usage Data — Information about how you interact with the Service, including pages viewed, features used, click patterns, search queries, and time spent on pages. This data helps us improve the Service and may be used for personalization and analytics.
  • Device Information — Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and browser information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We may use collected information for any of the following purposes:

  • Operating, maintaining, and improving the Service
  • Authenticating users and preventing fraud
  • Displaying reviews with verified identity information
  • Passing feedback board suggestions to the product team and emailing you updates you asked for
  • Sending communications, including account notifications, service updates, newsletters, and promotional messages
  • Personalizing your experience and content recommendations
  • Conducting analytics, research, and performance measurement
  • Displaying targeted or contextual advertising
  • Developing new products, services, and features
  • Complying with legal obligations
  • Any other purpose disclosed at the time of collection or with your consent

We reserve the right to use aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data for any purpose, including commercial and research purposes, without restriction.

3. Data Sharing

We may share your information with third parties in the following circumstances:

  • Public Profile on Reviews — Your LinkedIn name and profile picture are displayed publicly alongside reviews you submit. This is a core feature of the Service.
  • Product Teams (Feedback Boards) — When you send a suggestion to a product’s feedback board, that product’s team (owner, managers, and moderators) sees your LinkedIn name and profile link if you are signed in, and the email address you left, so they can review the suggestion and ask you about it. Other visitors never see who wrote a suggestion.
  • Service Providers — Third-party providers that assist us in operating the Service, including hosting, analytics, payment processing, email delivery, and customer support. Payments are processed by Stripe, which receives the payment and billing details you enter at checkout and processes them under its own privacy policy, also to prevent fraud and meet its legal obligations. When a product team asks for an AI-drafted reply or an AI summary of a review in its dashboard, the review’s published content (rating, title, text, pros and cons) and the product’s name are sent to Anthropic, which provides the AI model; the reviewer’s name, email and account are never sent. Anthropic processes this data to answer the request under its commercial terms and does not use it to train its models.
  • Advertising & Analytics Partners — We may share data with advertising networks, analytics providers, and marketing partners to deliver relevant advertising, measure campaign effectiveness, and perform market research. This may include the use of cookies and tracking technologies operated by these partners.
  • Business Partners — We may share information with business partners for joint marketing initiatives, co-branded services, or other collaborative offerings.
  • Business Transfers — In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • Legal Requirements — We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, court order, or governmental request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property.
  • With Your Consent — We may share your information for any other purpose with your consent or at your direction.

4. Data Retention

  • We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
  • You can delete your account at any time in your dashboard (Your data and account → Delete my account). Deleting your account permanently deletes all your reviews, including their earlier versions and the owner replies to them.
  • To maintain platform integrity, the public moderation log of a product keeps anonymous entries about deleted reviews: what happened and when, without the review text or the author.
  • Your feedback board suggestions stay on the product’s board without your name or email address, and your votes are removed.
  • When you delete your account, we also erase your name, email address, profile picture and LinkedIn data. Products you own lose their owner and can be claimed again, you leave the product teams you belong to, and your pending ownership claims are withdrawn. We keep a de-identified account record and moderation records, such as reports filed on behalf of a product team, for security and legal purposes.
  • Purchase records (orders, invoices, receipts and invitation credit history) are kept after you delete your account or a product changes hands, for as long as tax and accounting law requires (generally six years in the UK) and to handle refunds and disputes. They are tied to the product, not to your profile: after your account is deleted they point only to the de-identified account record. Stripe keeps the billing details entered at checkout under the same obligations.
  • You may also request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at the email below. We will process such requests within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any legal retention obligations.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You use the Service at your own risk.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities
  • Request data portability

You can exercise some of these rights yourself in your dashboard: Download my data gives you a copy of your account data as a JSON file (other people’s email addresses in it are masked), and Delete my account deletes your account as described in section 4. To exercise other rights, contact us at the email provided below.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
